How to actually stay sane || QUARANTINE

Hey guys, long time no see!
Today we are continuing the quarantine series that we started a while ago since it is still full quarantine time.

So, one of the many questions I see floating around the internet is:

How do I stay sane closed up in my home?

And when I thought about it I realized- hell, I can see why people are buzzing about this!
When you are closed up in (what often is) a small apartment, with not that many things to do, your brain can go haywire!
I rumbled my brain over a few things that help me and could potentially help you stay sane inside!

1. Get dressed.
It doesn't matter that it's quarantine. Get up from your bed, get dressed in something comfortable but presentable and be done with it. I'm not saying that you need to put on a bra (heaven forbid!) but you can put on a pair of comfy jeans and a cute t-shirt. My go-to is my fav high-waisted jeans, my boyfriend's T-shirt and sneakers. Pop on a watch and a necklace and I am ready and done! If you really want to be extra, you can even put some makeup on!
Make yourself look presentable and trust me, you will feel presentable.

2. Get some structure in your day.
If it wasn't quarantine, your day would be pretty structured. You'd wake up every day at the same time, go to work, come back home, do your "at home" thing and go to bed.
So why did we throw out structure through the window the minute (or second) that there is a virus outbreak in the whole world?
Try to get a routine for yourself to follow, and it will make it seem like you are living like everything is completely normal!

3. Don't. Sleep. In.
Look, I don't know how to break it to you all, but... You do know this will end? Sooner or later, you will have to go back to your normal life. And you know what that normal life brings back? Jobs. School. And you know what will suck the most? Waking up all over again for the aforementioned job. So, help yourself out and don't start sleeping in. Try to wake up every day at the same time, to keep your body in sync with everything that you used to and everything that you will do in the future!

4. Do all of the things you said you will... But didn't have the time.
If anything, now we have time. You get to do everything that you always wanted to do (that you can do inside)! Wanted to read all of the books that you have in your possession? Hey, now you have time for that! Wanted to reorganize your whole pantry in some ridiculous particular way that only makes sense to you? Knock yourself out, now you have the time for it!
Enjoy in the fact that now you can do whatever you want that is on your to-do list for the past 3 New Years (and yes, this is totally from personal experience)

5. Take care of yourself.
Drink plenty of water, take care of your skin and hair, eat healthily and work out.
Once again, now you have the time. So, go the extra step in your self-care routine. Your mind needs all the nurturing it can get in this difficult period, so do whatever makes you feel like a fluffy field mouse sitting in a little flower in the middle of a huge flower field (I saw a picture of this the other day and I swear there is nothing cuter than that).

6. Stay in touch with people.
Today you have a lot of options to talk with and see people without ever putting your pants on (not like that you kinky bastards!) I mean... Video calls. Phone calls. Call your loved ones. Yes, they might not be able to hug you or kiss you, but even talking with them is beneficial for your mind right now. Reach out and help your tribe out too! You never know who might need your attention until you give it out!

7. Start a project that you can work on.
Maybe you always wanted to start a blog? Or a podcast? Or a YouTube channel? Maybe you always wanted to become an excellent painter, or to learn how to play an instrument? Maybe you wanted to get super good at doing sci-fi makeup? Or to learn a new language?
Now is the time to devote your time to the new project. Pick your choice and focus on that. It will serve as an excellent distraction and at the same time, you are getting a new invaluable skill! It's a win-win situation!

What are some of your tips to help you stay okay in the head while we are stuck inside?
